NPS Calculator FAQ
Answers about how this calculator works.
Does this NPS calculator estimate my pension amount?
No. It estimates the total corpus at the end of the contribution period. Part of an NPS corpus must buy an annuity, and the pension depends on annuity rates at that time.
What return should I assume for NPS?
That depends on your asset mix across equity, corporate bonds and government securities. Use a conservative rate and try a few values to see the range.
Can I use it if my employer does not contribute?
Yes. Set the employer contribution to 0 and the projection uses only your own contribution.
Are NPS tax benefits included?
No. Tax deductions on contributions and tax on withdrawals are outside this calculator. Use the Income Tax calculator for regime comparisons.
