- Pension start age = current age + contribution years
Assumptions
- Contribution lookups clamp age to 18 to 40 and the pension to ₹1,000 to ₹5,000, the range covered by the table; the expected pension shown is the clamped amount.
- The table holds rows for ages 18, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 only; other ages are linearly interpolated, so results may differ slightly from official charts.
- Contribution years are taken as entered; the calculator does not force the pension to start at 60.
- This is an illustration, not a statutory quote. Confirm with your bank or the official APY chart.
- Educational estimate only, not financial advice. Capitallytics does not execute transactions.
APY Calculator FAQ
Answers about how this calculator works.
How does the APY calculator find my contribution?
It looks up the monthly contribution for your age and pension amount in a built-in APY table and interpolates between rows. The table covers entry ages 18 to 40.
What if I enter a pension above ₹5,000?
APY pensions range from ₹1,000 to ₹5,000, so the contribution is looked up for ₹5,000 and the 'Expected Monthly Pension' row shows ₹5,000, the pension that contribution supports.
When does the APY pension start?
Under the scheme the pension starts at 60. The calculator shows current age plus the contribution years you enter, so set contribution years to 60 minus your age to match.
Is the contribution shown official?
No. It is an interpolated estimate from table values. Use the official APY chart or your bank for the exact amount.
