How financial intelligence software works
Data is imported or entered, journals post, the ledger updates, and statements are produced from those postings. Forecasts and valuation scenarios can then use actuals instead of a disconnected model.
Capitallytics Reports and Statements are designed to follow that path in Business Workspace.
Seven reports, one posted ledger
Reports in Business Workspace has seven tabs: P&L, Balance sheet, Cash flow, Trial balance, General ledger, Aging (payables and receivables) and KPIs. Every figure is read from posted journal lines; drafts and voided entries are left out, so a report never shows something that is not in the books.
Choose a month, quarter, year, five years or a custom date range. The balance sheet carries a check that assets equal liabilities plus equity, and the P&L can show an estimated tax line and profit after estimated tax. That estimate is calculated when the report is built and is never posted to your books.
The KPIs a founder actually watches
The KPI tab reads the same ledger: revenue, expenses, net income, cash, burn rate, cash burn over the last 90 days, runway, receivables, payables and working capital. It also shows committed cash: cash plus receivables due in 30 days, minus overdue payables and payables due in 30 days, with the runway that leaves.
Each report tab exports to CSV. Investor-pack (XLSX) and Tally/Zoho journal exports are Business-plan features. If you need to compare periods or a budget, Variance compares actuals with the prior period, prior year, a forecast or a budget.
