Net Worth Calculator FAQ
Answers about how this calculator works.
What should I include in assets?
Include bank balances, FDs, PPF and EPF, mutual funds, shares, gold and the current market value of property. Use realistic current values, not purchase prices.
What counts as a liability?
Any money you owe, such as outstanding home, car, personal or education loans and credit card balances.
Can net worth be negative?
Yes. If your debts are larger than your assets, the result is negative, which is common early in a career or after a large loan.
How often should I calculate my net worth?
Many people review it monthly or quarterly. The Net Worth Tracker can keep it updated from your holdings instead of manual totals.
