- Loan Tenure (Years)
- 2
- Result
- Monthly EMI
- ₹2,496

Formula
EMI = P × i × (1 + i)^n / ((1 + i)^n - 1)
- P = loan amount (principal)
- i = annual interest rate / 12 / 100 (monthly rate)
- n = tenure in years × 12 (number of monthly instalments)
- Total payment = EMI × n; total interest = total payment - P
Assumptions
- Uses the standard reducing-balance EMI formula with a fixed interest rate for the whole tenure.
- Interest is charged monthly at the annual rate divided by 12.
- Processing fees, GST on interest and fees, and foreclosure charges are not included.
- Tenure is entered in years; for a 6-month plan enter 0.5.
- Educational estimate only, not financial advice. Capitallytics does not execute transactions.
Credit Card EMI Calculator FAQ
Answers about how this calculator works.
How do I enter a tenure in months?
Tenure is in years, so divide the months by 12. For example, 9 months is 0.75 and 18 months is 1.5.
Is GST on credit card EMI interest included?
No. GST is usually charged on the interest and processing fee, which would make the actual cost higher than shown.
Is converting to EMI cheaper than paying the minimum due?
Often the EMI rate is lower than the revolving credit rate, but it depends on the offer. Compare the total interest here with your card's revolving charges.
What rate should I enter?
Enter the annual rate in the EMI offer. If the card quotes a monthly rate, multiply it by 12.
