Formula
EMI = P × i × (1 + i)^n / ((1 + i)^n - 1)
- P = loan amount (principal)
- i = annual interest rate / 12 / 100 (monthly rate)
- n = tenure in years × 12 (number of monthly instalments)
- Total payment = EMI × n; total interest = total payment - P
Assumptions
- Uses the standard reducing-balance EMI formula with a fixed interest rate for the whole tenure.
- Interest is charged monthly at the annual rate divided by 12.
- Down payment, insurance, registration and processing fees are not included.
- A flat-rate quote must be converted to a reducing rate before entering it.
- Educational estimate only, not financial advice. Capitallytics does not execute transactions.
Bike Loan EMI Calculator FAQ
Answers about how this calculator works.
What should I enter as the bike loan amount?
Enter the amount you will borrow after your down payment. Insurance and registration are usually extra.
Are two-wheeler loan rates flat or reducing?
Lenders may quote either. This calculator assumes a reducing-balance rate, so a flat-rate quote will cost more than the EMI shown.
How short can the tenure be?
Enter any tenure in years, including fractions such as 1.5. The number of months is years × 12.
Does the EMI include insurance?
No. It covers principal and interest only.
